English Diary: We Are Going Back to Canada Soon. 20220524 #2-101

Hello everyone. Thank you for coming back to my channel. My name is Mai, and this is Nomadonomado English Diary for the 24th of May 2022.

I have been in Japan since the 7th of this month, and I only have ten days left of my stay in Japan. The time goes quickly.

I am really enjoying staying in Japan. I walk around Tokyo where my parents just moved this March. I am having nice food and sake every day. I also visit cities near Tokyo such as Yokohama and I am going to go to Kawagoe city this Friday with my sister.

It is a shame that I have to leave soon, but honestly, I am looking forward to gardening in our house in Canada, and I miss my husband too, who is in Kenya for a business trip.

My husband and I left Canada at the end of March and went to England to visit his family. We stayed with his mother for about five weeks. And then, I came to Japan, and he went to Kenya. After he finishes his work, he will go back to Canada on the 1st of June and I will fly back there on the 4th.

This is the first time that we separate for this long time after the pandemic happened. In fact, he wanted to come to Japan with me if possible, but at that time he was not allowed to enter Japan because we are not officially married.

It is said that the Japanese government will allow foreign tourists to enter Japan step by step. So we hope they will open the door to all foreigners and we can come back to Japan together next time.
