Hello, everyone. Welcome back to my channel, Nomadonomado. This is an English Diary of the 22nd of April 2022.
I am in England and the local time is 8:30 in the morning, as I am recording this episode.
Yesterday, I didn’t have much time to do gardening but I managed to finish what I wanted to do in the vegetable garden.
One of my nephews in law came to pick us up around noon, and we went to a classic English pub that was called “the white buck”.
Buck is an interesting word. It means a female deer, but also refers to a dollar in the United States. For example, ” it was 20 bucks” means “it was 20 dollars. “
Anyway, it was a nice place. They have a big patio and terrace where we had lunch. My husband and I had a couple of pints of London Pride beer. I had a stewed pork belly and he had a roasted lamb.
It was the first time I met that nephew. He is working as a paramedic in London. He said that they had a crazy time at the beginning of covid, but it’s calming down.
The weather was beautiful. The food was delicious and their service was excellent. We had a great time.
Today, one of our friends will come to our town from the other side of London. He will stay in a hotel near the beach tonight and tomorrow night.
We are going out for dinner together tonight to one of my husband mothers favourite pubs. It will be another busy weekend but I will tell you about it next time.
