English Diary: I Went to the Library. 20220512 #2-90
Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel. My name is Mai, and this is the Nomadonomado English diary for the 12th of May 2022.
Yesterday, I went shopping in the arcade shopping street near the station, where they have a couple of 100 yen shops. 100 yen shops are the places that I always go to every time I come back to Japan. I bought Japanese chopsticks because our chopsticks in Canada have worn out, and a few pairs of shocks.

I have a niece who is 13 years old. She came to the shops too with me. She rode a bike but I walked, so we met at the 100 yen shop, and hung around together.
After the shopping, she said that she wanted to go to the library. There is a library near my parents’ house. We went back home once to put the shopping bags down and went out again. The library was just seven-minute away to walk.
It was the first time that she went to the library and she had to made an user card. It was quite straightforward to make a library card. She needed to show her school card. Shortly, she got her card and borrowed a few novels. I borrowed a couple of books too. It also was the first time that I used the library in Japan after years.
Last night, I had a Japanese red wine again which was brewed in Hokkaido. I think it was reasonable compared with the quality. It was light but juicy, lots of flavour of grape. It only contains 12% of alcohol, so it was very easy to drink. I thought it could be sweet because inexpensive wines sometimes are just full of sugar, but it was not too bad.

Alright, that’s all for now. Thank you for listening as usual. I hope you enjoyed this episode. I am very happy to receive your comments, feedback and questions.
I just want to remind you that you can find the English script of today’s episode on my website, nomadonomado.com. Thank you again, and I will be back to you soon. Until then, goodbye.
