English Diary: I booked a PCR test in Bournemouth. 20220503 #2-82
Hello. Welcome back to my channel. This is the Nomadonomado English diary for the 3rd of May 2022.
Yesterday, I booked a PCR test in a clinic in Bournemouth. When we were filling up the form, there was a question if I was going to fly to Japan, Hong Kong or Caribbean countries. It was because they need to provide a test in a specific way for travellers to Japan. I was happy to be asked about it. I think they know what they are doing.
We made an appointment at two o’clock in the afternoon today. But my husband has to work until 4:30 so I need to go alone.
Additionally, we are supposed to go to watch the football game tonight in Bournemouth, I mean, my husband, his brother and I.
My husband’s brother will come to their mother’s place where we are staying this afternoon, and he and my husband will take the train to come to Bournemouth after my husband finishes his work.
The game will kick off at seven, and beforehand, we are going to go to a pub where we will probably have fish and chips as dinner.
Today’s game apparently is a big game. I heard lots of people talking about today’s game on the radio yesterday. Bournemouth is in the second position in the championship league at this moment. The top two teams will automatically be promoted to the Premier League next season.
And they say, only if they don’t lose today, they will be promoted. Therefore Bournemouth fans could be crazy at the game today no matter what happens. I’m sure that it will be a super exciting game at least.
As I said, I need to get to Bournemouth earlier than them to have a test. I think I am going to walk around town after the test at two, and meet them at the station when they arrive.
By the way, I talked with one of my husband’s sisters who lives in Oman last night. She was currently in Dubai though. She said that last night was the first night when they could eat properly after Ramadan. She was having a glass of red wine to celebrate the finishing of Ramadan.
Alright, that’s all for today. Thank you for listening as usual. I hope you liked today’s episode.
