English Diary おうちでローストディナー、そしてキュウリを移植 20220424 #2-73

Hello everyone, thank you for coming back to my channel. This is the Nomadonomado English Diary for the 24th of April 2022.

One of our friends came to our town on Friday afternoon and he is going to go home today. We had dinner together last night at home. My mother in law and I cooked food, roasting chicken and vegetables. She has two big ovens, so it’s easy to cook a big meal like last night.

Yesterday, we were quite busy. My husband and his brother and his friend went to a little town which is called Bournemouth, where it normally takes less than 1 hour by train. They went to watch the football game.

My mother in law went to her hairdresser’s in the afternoon.

After she left home, I transplanted cucumber seedlings into bigger pots. They were the cucumbers that my husband’s brother planted and brought for their mother.

He brought 4 pots of cucumbers and unfortunately one of them died, but the others are growing well. They had grown enough to be transplanted, but there is a risk of frost still now, so I transplanted them into bigger pots and we will keep them in the greenhouse.

My mother in law went to her hairdresser’s in the afternoon. Because we wanted to do a little food shopping for dinner, I went to meet her at 2 on the high street of the town and we went to a couple of shops. When we came back home, it was already 4. We had some tea and a light lunch and started preparation.

As I said, the friend who came from Norfolk is going to leave this morning and we may try to meet another friend today afternoon or evening.
